Perfection in God

Perfection in God: A Path to Purpose and Power

Hey saints, hey believers of God, and everyone seeking encouragement! I’m Minister Capus Robinson, and I want to share a word with you today. The theme is “Perfection in God,” a powerful concept that will help you face every situation, every attack, and every challenge in life. The phrase I often use is this: God’s principles for a worldly problem. No matter what you’re going through, God has a solution, and I believe what He’s shared with me might also bless you.

In life, I’ve learned to plan the race I want to run, to set a discipleship course that proves my devotion to God. I work diligently to apply the principles of Jesus Christ so that I can operate in God’s power—because here’s the truth: our power is limited, but God’s power is limitless. And today, we’re going to explore how to tap into that divine power by pursuing perfection in God.

Why Perfection in God is Key

As we grow and mature in life, we are called to change, to improve our potential, and to elevate our expectations. This is essential if we are to continue operating in God’s power. If we don’t, we can easily become stuck in the world’s problems, sometimes without even realizing it. Today, I want to share with you three foundational principles: Purpose, Power, and Principles.

Let’s open in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we come to You with grateful hearts. We thank You for Your guidance, Your wisdom, and the authority You’ve given us on this earth. We ask that You help us use it wisely and always in line with Your will. We thank You for Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and all the tools You’ve provided for us to be effective and successful in this life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Structure of Perfection: Purpose, Power, and Principles

To understand perfection in God, we must focus on three key areas: purpose, power, and principles. These are the cornerstones that shape our spiritual journey, helping us reach the level of perfection that God expects from us.

  1. Purpose: Every one of us has a purpose. It’s not something we have to search for; it’s already within us. God has a plan for each of us, and part of our journey is identifying that purpose.
  2. Power: Whether we recognize it or not, we all carry some form of power. It could be our own will, the power of our environment, or—most importantly—the power that comes from God. When we operate in God’s power, we transcend the limitations of the world.
  3. Principles: Principles guide our actions and decisions. They can come from how we were raised, but the most effective ones come from the Word of God. Following the principles of Jesus Christ ensures that we are operating from a foundation that leads us toward perfection.

1. Creating a Strong Belief System

One of the first steps toward perfection in God is to build a strong belief system. Without it, we can easily waver or even reject the assignments God gives us because we feel inadequate. Let’s look at Psalm 62:5-8:

“My soul waits thou only upon God, for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation. He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory. The rock of my strength and my refuge is in God. Trust in him at all times, ye people, pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us.”

This scripture emphasizes the importance of placing our expectations in God. Perfection comes from Him, and as we trust in His defense and strength, we become immovable. This is the foundation of a strong belief system that will carry you through life’s trials.

2. Dominate with Your Gifts, Values, and Principles

The next step is to recognize that we are called to dominate with the gifts, values, and principles God has given us. Let’s reflect on Proverbs 18:16:

“A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

Your God-given gift is not just a talent you’ve practiced—it’s something that naturally flows from you because it was placed in you by God. When you walk in your gift, aligned with God’s principles, it opens doors for you that no one can close. Many of us miss out on this because we don’t truly know our gifts, or we haven’t aligned our values and principles with God’s Word. But when we do, greatness follows.

3. Renew Your Mind Daily

Lastly, we must renew our minds daily. This is perhaps one of the most important steps toward perfection. Let’s turn to Romans 12:2:

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

When we renew our minds, we open ourselves to transformation—allowing God to shape us according to His perfect will. Without this daily renewal, we risk operating from outdated mindsets and beliefs that no longer serve us. Just like the manna God gave the Israelites in the wilderness, His wisdom and guidance are fresh every day, and we need that fresh input to stay aligned with His plans.

Conclusion

Saints, we’ve covered a lot of ground today. Perfection in God is not about being flawless by human standards—it’s about being in alignment with God’s will. It’s about knowing your purpose, operating in God’s power, and living by His principles. When we strengthen our belief system, dominate with our gifts, and renew our minds daily, we are walking the path of perfection that God has laid out for us.

As you reflect on these words, I encourage you to dive into the scriptures and meditate on them. If this message has blessed you, visit our website for more lessons and resources. We also have a prayer team available if you need further support.
